The Alphabet unit, which already has a small robotaxi factory in Detroit , will use the new facility to supply thousands of vehicles to its fleets in Phoenix , San Francisco, Los Angeles and Austin.to outfit I-Pace SUVs with cameras, laser lidar, radar and other sensors, as well as computing hardware and in-cabin monitors under contract for Mountain View, California-based Waymo .
