Venom's tongue is an iconic part of his character design, with a new transformation making it grosser than ever before thanks to a fellow symbiote!

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Spoilers for Venom #27!Marvel’s Lethal Protector, Venom, has more than a few iconic character details that make his design one of the most popular and well-known looks in all of comics, with his slithery and slimy symbiote tongue being one of his most stand-out features.

Leaving his current host, Bren Waters, after Toxin realizes it’s the only way to effectively save him from being killed by the covert syndicate called Noname, this act of selflessness leads Toxin to become a puddle of alien goo whose lease on life is swiftly coming to an end without a host to bond to.

Soon found by Dylan Brock’s Venom and a symbiote-wearing Black Widow, it’s here where Venom saves Toxin’s life by quite literally slurping him up like a bowl of spaghetti, allowing this offspring of Carnage to morph into a familiar-looking red tongue that slithers and whips every which way, officially making Toxin a part of Venom in the grossest way imaginable.

Effectively becoming a sort of life-support system for Toxin until he can get back to Bren, it’s interesting to note that when Venom or other symbiotes of his brood absorb another entity like them, the additional Klyntar organism usually manifests as a second head or blends into their designs seamlessly, making this Toxin tongue a unique evolution in the same vein.

Venom and the Toxin Symbiote Merge In Gross Tongue Transformation And although Toxin ends up finding a temporary host before this issue is over, it’s fun to see Venom use his ability to absorb, transform, contain, hive-speak to, and then ultimately release another symbiote as if it were nothing, a skill no doubt stemming from Venom’s impressive King in Black power and mastery over his Klyntar properties.
