A woman working with a cleaning crew was one of three people injured when gunfire erupted Saturday night at the State Fair of Texas.

Suddenly, she felt her right arm heavy. She saw dozens of people crawling under the benches. She mirrored them, but as soon as she touched the ground, she saw the blood coming from her arm.

Liliana Andrea Araujo, 41, from Venezuela, is one of the three victims wounded in Saturday State Fair of Texas shooting. Her husband, Pedro Ortega, 39, was in another area of the fair at the time of the chaos but never imagined that his wife would be one of the victims until his friend called him and told him to run to the food court.“When I arrived, she was gone. They told me the police took it to the hospital,” Ortega said. “I was so afraid. I wanted to see her.”

From that moment on, Araujo said, a female police officer was with her until she arrived at the hospital. The officer translated for her and spoke to her husband in Spanish, explaining what was happening and where she was being taken.
