A new photo from Brec Bassinger hints a Stargirl/Titans crossover could be brewing in the Arrowverse 👀
A Stargirl and Titans crossover event might happen later this year as Arrowverse actress Brec Bassinger shares a new image with one of the stars. Since 2012, the Arrowverse, created by executive producer Greg Berlanti, has been one of The CW's biggest flagship franchises, starting with Arrow. Thanks to the Green Arrow drama, it kicked off an interconnected universe that consists of countless spinoff shows such as The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and many more.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY The Arrowverse franchise is winding down on The CW as the network canceled Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman earlier this year. While The Flash and Superman & Lois will be back next year, The Flash is ending with season 9, making it the longest-running series in the franchise. Stargirl season 3 is currently airing every Wednesday, but The CW has yet to confirm if the DC teen drama will get renewed for season 4.
Something that fuels the Stargirl and Titans crossover possibility is the inclusion of Johns, who is connected to both shows. While Johns created Stargirl, he is also one of the Titans executive producers and writers. Stargirl season 3 wrapped filming months ago, and unlike Titans, they film in Atlanta, which is why Bassinger's post suggests that she is somehow involved in the HBO Max show.
If Stargirl and Titans are doing a crossover, it could mean multiple things. If this is a Multiverse-based story, one of the shows will introduce the idea of traveling between alternative realities, which is something neither series have done at this point. However, there is always the chance that Titans season 4 or Stargirl season 3 will, at some point, explore that concept, which remains to be seen.
