We love harissa.
This recipe got the extremely rare and hallowed one-word review from boyfriend , which is tantamount to a michelin star in my kitchen. I used a bit more than two tablespoons of the TJ's harissa and the meatballs were super spicy, may go with a little less than two tablespoons next time. I also added a head of cauliflower and some red onions to the roast and it was really delicious. The tastiest morsels were definitely the tomatoes.
I've been making these ever since the recipe came out . My five year old has recently fallen in love with the meatballs so now we have it monthly. I've only used left over pickle brine which is *really* nice. Similarly to the other comments, I use Trader Joe's harissa, but about half the amount the recipe calls for.
