SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Jujutsu Kaisen's climactic final battle against Sukuna appears to be running out of steam and his next opponent, Miguel, all but confirms a major issue with the current arc. The latest chapter reveals yet another talented sorcerer has fallen to Sukuna, causing doubt as to whether there may be any worthy opponents left for him to fight at all, as the series brings back an old, obscure character for his next battle.
However, ever since Gojo's defeat, Jujutsu Kaisen has exaggerated the abilities of every single sorcerer that has faced Sukuna, only for them to be quickly defeated without doing much damage. With a majority of the main cast defeated similarly, there isn't much hope for Miguel either, which proves the series is quickly driving itself into a corner with no one exciting left to face Sukuna.
Kusakabe was very much the last line of defense against Sukuna and, despite the latest chapter's attempt to hype him up, his predictable defeat has left the series with no more interesting opponents for Sukuna to face off against, much less anyone that can allow him to truly go all out. More importantly, Miguel's abilities are not as great as the series is making them out to be.
