Metropolitan region.Area commuters are encouraged to telework or travel without driving alone in cars, such as train, bus, bicycle, walking, scooter, or using a carpool or vanpool.

To make going car free easy on Car Free Day and every day, Commuter Connections of Washington offers a free app calledthat helps commuters with multimodal transportation options. As the app is used, it calculates rewards points that can be redeemed for cash incentives through Commuter Connections. The app assists in helping choose travel modes, provides details on best travel times and shows the benefits of best transportation choices.
