Nuggets trade up to select DaRon Holmes II in NBA draft

Denver gave up its first- and second-round picks in the 2024 NBA draft, as well as two future selections, to take DaRon Holmes II at

The Phoenix Suns were on the receiving end of the exchange and will get the Nuggets' No. 28 and No. 56 picks. Denver will walk away with the 6-foot-10 forward from the University of Dayton who averaged 20.4 points per game for the Flyers this season as a junior. Holmes was a four-star prospect out of high school and became the highest-ranked recruit to ever sign to Dayton.
