KHOU 11 spoke with Conrad Fertitta two weeks ago about the pile of debris left in his front yard. He's worried that the debris is still there with rain on the way.

Solid Waste Management crews will begin the second and final pass of debris collection on July 8. They're already collected enough to fill half of NRG Stadium.says crews have been working seven days a week to pick up the debris left from the May 16 derecho storm but they're not done yet.

When the second pass is finished, the remainder of the storm debris operation will consist of reduction and restoration. Crews have already collected an estimated 1.55 million cubic yards since the derecho storm, enough to fill half of NRG Stadium. According to SWMD, they've picked up an average of more than 1,000 truckloads a day.
