Kraven The Hunter's first look divides Marvel fans over comic book changes. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven the Hunter in the Spider-Man villain's film, but there is a catch. Like other movies in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, Kraven will not be the villain he is known to be, with Kraven The Hunter's first trailer showing the character on a more heroic arc, even though he is seeing red due to his revenge quest.

While there has been praise for Taylor-Johnson's second Marvel character — following his MCU turn as Quicksilver — fans are not fond of changes to Kraven's origin, accent, and more. Kraven The Hunter's poster did a good job of adapting his signature look from the comics to live-action, something that fans also noted.
Why Kraven The Hunter Can Be Successful Kraven the Hunter is one of the more popular Spider-Man villains, which could lead to the movie playing more similar to Sony's Spider-Man Universe's Venom movies than Morbius' poor box office performance, as the latter was focused on a more obscure villain from the comics. That same thinking goes to Sony's El Muerto film, which is set to be released next year and has little chance of being a hit.
That is not where Kraven The Hunter is at. Despite changes to the character's origins, powers, and accent, the film appears to touch on the same aspects that made Venom's movies so popular. Kraven The Hunter is led by a charismatic performance from Taylor-Johnson, which should carry the movie in a similar way to what Tom Hardy has managed to do for both Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
Kraven The Hunter's other connection to the Venom movies is in the action department. As Kraven The Hunter's first trailer — and especially its red band version — shows, the movie is going to be heavy on its action sequences. Nothing will be held back as Kraven goes on his quest for revenge, thanks to the movie earning an R-rating.
