Attorney and legal analyst Jonathan Turley claims New York Attorney General Letitia James is losing the civil fraud case against former President Donald Trump. Turley's statement comes after a February ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron found Trump and associates liable for misleading lenders and insurance companies. Trump continues to denounce the lawsuit as 'election interference', appealing the nearly half-billion dollar financial penalties imposed.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is 'losing the war' against former President Donald Trump in his civil fraud case , attorney and legal analyst Jonathan Turley said on Saturday. The former president and others associated with The Trump Organization were found liable by New York Judge Arthur Engoron in February for misleading lenders and insurance companies to obtain more favorable terms.

Meanwhile, Moulton told James' office that 'the immense penalty in this case is troubling' in which the justice asked, 'How do you tether the amount that was assessed by to the harm that was caused here where the parties left these transactions happy?''The answer, of course, is the case was never about markets. It was about politics. The fact that the banks were 'happy' is immaterial.
