The redshirt sophomore said he didn’t necessarily see the pressure as a bad thing.
Milroe was given first crack at the job of replacing Bryce Young out of preseason camp, starting both the Middle Tennessee State and Texas games. Against South Florida though, Saban started Tyler Buchner and played Ty Simpson, with Milroe watching from the sideline. Since then, Alabama head coach Nick Saban has complimented the way Milroe has handled himself. Where the quarterback let himself get rattled by an interception in the Texas game, leading to another, that hasn’t happened since.“There’s nothing to be too tense about, or too stressed about by any means,” Milroe said. “I think the biggest thing is being prepared as much as possible and then the support system I have around me. To say I can do anything by myself, I don’t believe in that.
On Monday, he was asked the key to cleaning up some of the mental errors that have plagued the Tide this season, from ill-advised throws to untimely penalties, to bad snaps.
