Semi-professional soccer players in The City will be 'doing the worm' at least the next two seasons
Soon, San Francisco’s buses and streetcars won’t be the only ones flaunting one of The City’s most iconic logos.
San Francisco City FC splits its home matches between Kezar and Boxer Stadium, both easily accessible by several Muni lines. Club officials said they hope the partnership will help boost Muni’s ridership, attract new fans, “bring back civic pride” and push forward the club’s commitment “to sustainability and community welfare.”
SF City FC, part of the United Soccer League, is San Francisco’s only majority supporter-owned soccer club. Anybody can buy a piece of the team for $75 per year.
