Inside the cabin we find a numbered plaque showing the limited nature of this special edition. There is also Alcantara upholstery with red stitching on the steering wheel, gearknob, armrest and handbrake, red seatbelts, red N buttons, exclusive floor mats, and a new pattern for the N Light Seats. Standard equipment includes a glass roof, the 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, the rear stiffness bar, and the Hyundai Smart Sense suite of ADAS.
As we mentioned earlier, there are no mechanical changes which means you get the same turbocharged 2.0-litre T-GDi engine producing 276 hp and 392 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission which was introducedin 2020. The hot hatch also gets the N Power Shift, N Grin Shift, and N Track Sense Shift features for optimum performance.
Hyundai has already started production of the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition. Out of the 800 units, 620 are reserved for Europe out of which 75 are, and another 180 units will head to Australia where the hot hatch market is still booming. The company didn’t announce pricing for the special edition, but Hyundai Australia mentioned it will be priced slightly higher than the i30 N Premium.
