An employee with FEMA was fired after telling relief workers responding to Hurricane Milton in Florida to 'avoid homes' with signs in support of Donald Trump.

The former employee has not been named, but FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell posted to her social media account about the situation, saying that "this type of behavior and action will not be tolerated at FEMA and we will hold people accountable if they violate these standards of conduct." In Criswell's posts, she said the issue was reported to the Office of Special Counsel and that she "will continue to do everything I can to make sure this never happens again".
The Daily Wire first reported that FEMA Supervisor Marn'i Washington informed workers verbally and via a Microsoft Teams chat while they responded to a Lake Placid community to avoid homes with signs in support of now-President-elect Donald Trump.
