An Avengers: Endgame deleted scene shows the team's huddle in the trench. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the 2019 Marvel Studios movie marked the end of the lengthy Infinity Saga. It remains to be the longest MCU film to date with a runtime of just over three hours, featuring an epic final third act battle that brought together heroes from across the MCU. And yet, Avengers: Endgame still had a string of sequences that were left on the editing room floor.
Following Thanos' devastating Snap in Avengers: Infinity War, the surviving Avengers went their separate ways and spent the next five years differently. However, when Ant-Man re-emerged and the idea for the"Time Heist" came up, the heroes eventually banded back together in the hopes of bringing back those who were affected by the Decimation. The mission was a success, but before the Avengers could even process the victory in their endeavor, Thanos from 2014 ambushed them.
Overall, the Russo brothers have been able to justify cutting most Avengers: Endgame deleted scenes. As interesting as most of the sequences were, they either slowed down the film or didn't serve the Marvel movie's story by adding to what was an already lengthy runtime.
