Candace Rivera, the founder of an anti-human trafficking non-profit Exitus, already facing more than 30 charges of fraud, has now been charged with check fraud.
FILE - A bail hearing for the leader of the anti-trafficking nonprofit organization Exitus was held Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023. Candace Lierd, also known as Candace Rivera, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of fraud after the Utah Attorney General's Office alleged she used the nonprofit's money for her own personal use.
