California dominated the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships with impressive performances from both boys and girls teams. Rylee Blade of Corona Santiago took home the girls' title, while Henry Dilworth of Peoria Liberty secured victory for the boys.

The winner, Corona Santiago senior Rylee Blade, finished in 15:20.3 — 22 seconds better than her fourth-place finish a year ago.Timpview High, was fourth. And Ventura’s Sadie Engelhardt, the first California n a year ago, was a distant fifth in 15:40.2.
“This was really a big deal because I beat some big-name runners,” said Dailey by phone. “I was in the frontand we ran 5:11 for the mile, which was slower than a year ago. The second mile was a 5:05 and then we raced for the finish.course, so everyone is prepared to run fast. My time was a personal best and going in, I just wanted to do better than a year ago.
Right behind her was Del Norte sophomore Eliza Hong at 18:19.5 and Nighthawks teammate Emily Russo at 18:19.6. Also in the top 10 for team scores wereEleanor Roosevelt High School of Eastvale won the boys Division 1 team race by a scant four points over Peoria Liberty. Liberty was led by individual champion Henry Dilworth, who clocked a time of 15:07.0.sweepstakes in 15:57.2, leading the Scotties to a tie for second in the team race with Tucson Ironwood RidgeDivision 1 Inv.: Team: 1.
