Blockbuster has been all but snuffed out, but affection for it lives on.

Meet the Plano man keeping Blockbuster alive

Kirk Denny checks out Cindy Burr and her daughter Tracy, 13 months, at Blockbuster Videos in Medallion Center on April 11, 1988. Rick Quinones receives his copy of "Titanic" from Blockbuster employee Greg Hoeft at midnight on Sept 1, 1998. The Blockbuster at 3501 McKinney Ave. stayed open until 2:00 a.m. for people that couldn't wait another day for a copy of "Titanic."

As the years went by, Blockbuster made strides to try to keep up with technological trends. This included offering more games, as pictured in this photograph, published Nov. 25, 2001.

Leave it to LA's wannabe, DAL to further congest their roads and only help the rich. SO glad I live elsewhere in TX
