’ February 12, 2021, win over the New Orleans Pelicans, the NBA world will get to watch another Luka Doncic-Zion Williamson showdown Tuesday night.Williamson left the Pelicans’ game early Sunday night with a posterior hip contusion and is questionable to play, but Dallas has prepared as if the 22-year-old power forward will still present the typical forceful, mammoth defensive challenge he’s caused in the two Luka-Zion clashes of years past.

“You have two of the most exciting young players in the league matched up against each other. Obviously, it’s must-see TV,” Spencer Dinwiddie said. “Internally, it’s not really a thing because they’re not really matched up against each other. I would venture to guess that Doe, Maxi, JaVale — shoot, even myself — will be on him more than Luka.”They’re rare.

In his four NBA seasons, Williamson has missed eight of 11 Pelicans-Mavericks games — three while injured before his rookie debut, one in his All-Star second season and all four last season while missing the campaign with a foot injury. Williams logged 38 points and six rebounds, shooting 62.5% from the floor, last time against Dallas , but Doncic sat out the second night of that Mavericks back to back with an illness.

In two head-to-head meetings, and Dallas wins, between Doncic and Williamson, Doncic has tallied lines of 46 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists
