Kirkcudbright Book Week Society and the town's library are organising a spooky competition
A special competition was launched at the Hallowe’en Spooktacular in Kirkcudbright Library on Tuesday.
The contest is being organised by Kirkcudbright Book Week Society and the council through the library as part of March’s Kirkcudbright Book Week. Organisers are looking for stories inspired by everything from things that go bump in the night to spectral figures glimpsed in the fog or real places that are rumoured to be haunted.The entries will be judged by Kirkcudbright Library’s Lesley Garbutt and author and Kirkcudbright Book Week Society committee member John Dean.
The closing date is January 20 and entries should be sent in Word format to [email protected]. The winners will be announced in the library on World Book Day on March 7 as part of Kirkcudbright Book Week.
