Works to transform rundown tennis courts in Johnstone as part of a major investment in the sport in Renfrewshire are underway.
A total of £155,500 is being poured into the refurbishment of the Park Road facility, which has been rescued from a state of neglect.
Councillor Andy Steel, an SNP representative for Johnstone South and Elderslie, said: “I still can’t quite believe it’s happening. “Later I’ve walked dogs there and used the steps like Rocky in one of my frequent, unsuccessful attempts to get fit.
