Here's what you can do to prevent bed bugs from entering your home
More evidence that the Paris bed bug invasion has made itself across the Channel has sprung up. A woman has claimed she saw one crawling up her leg on the London Underground.
TfL have stated that they aren't aware of "any outbreaks in London," but they are "continuing to closely monitor our network" and are "continuing to implement our rigorous and thorough cleaning measures". Also, an expert has said the insect might not be a bed bug as it isn't flat enough on the video.However, precautions are still advisable as bed bugs can travel from country to country.
One expert, Brian Dillon from Crafted Beds, explains there are some simple steps you can take to prevent bedbugs getting inside your home. "Preventing bed bugs is essential to avoid the discomfort, inconvenience, and potential health issues associated with an infestation. The best approach to prevention is vigilance and proactive measures.
Dillon also advises making sure you're cleaning your bed sheets often and a high heat because "this can help kill any potential bed bugs and help keep your bed hygienic. You can also use mattress covers to help avoid bed bugs. Encase your mattress and box spring with bed bug-proof covers. These prevent bed bugs from infesting your sleeping area."
