Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon has been admitted to hospital with an ‘acute digestive condition’.
On loan at Atletico Madrid this season, the left back’s symptoms will be monitored ahead of a discharging him from care in the Spanish capital.Reguilon had already missed the first three months of the season for Atleti after undergoing groin surgery, and is now back out of action. The 25-year-old featured for the first time against Mallorca midweek, playing 21 minutes before his latest issue occurred.
A club statement read: “Sergio Reguilón suffers from an acute digestive condition for which he had to be admitted to a hospital last night.Growing up at Real Madrid and emerging through the club’s youth system, Reguilon impressed for Los Blancos, as well as on loan at Sevilla.in a £27.5million deal which included a buy back clause.
