Newly-released pictures show the extent of the child killer's injuriesCredit: PA:Press AssociationWhiting was punched and kicked in the face and repeatedly stabbed on the upper body with blades smuggled onto the wing at Wakefield prison, West Yorks.He was in respiratory arrest so they inserted a plastic tube to give him an airway.
Whiting said two inmates burst into his cell shouting “you f***ing nonce” and then stabbed and punched him to the head and body. “They call be names such as nonce, rapist, child killer, I do try to ignore the comments as I have got so used to them now.” He said that every time he tried to get up they continued to attack him until he heard officers arriving.
The former mechanic dragged her into his van and murdered her before dumping her body in a field near Pulborough 15 miles away, where it was found on 17 July 2000.
