Prince Harry’s friend Henners who died as he has several mentions in book Spare

The Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, of which both Prince Harry and Prince William are patrons, was established by his parents to support education in Uganda

Henry van Straubenzee , a student at Prince Harry's former school, Ludgrove Preparatory, and one of Harry’s close childhood friends, is mentioned several times in Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, amongst its explosive claims about members of the royal family.

Henry was described as “the first to see light in every moment” as well as “kind, thoughtful and extremely funny.” Harry goes on to describe the morning he received the phone call about Henry's death, just before Christmas 2002: "I vividly remember my reaction. Same as when Pa told me about Mummy." The annual Henry van Straubenzee Christmas Carol Concert has also been hosted by the Fund every year since 2009.
