West Lancashire councillors have welcomed the latest work on a new Ormskirk-Burscough linear park but asked for an update on any sections or routes for other town and villages which may remain incomplete.
Progress on work at High Lane in Burscough was raised at the latest full council meeting by Our West Lancashire councillors Kate Mitchell, Jane Thompson and George Clandon. But they also put forward a motion calling for an update on incomplete work. It stated: “Council [all the elected councillors] notes that further progress has been made on the Ormskirk-Burscough linear park with the completion of the new High Grove Park housing estate.
Coun Mitchell, who is also deputy mayor of West Lancashire, added “I went to visit the new lane, which is very attractive and well-used by the local estate and wider area. I urge councillors to support this work.”
