National Highways has published a list of upcoming maintenance schemes
National Highways has published a list of the maintenance schemes being carried out this week. They include new motorway barriers on the M6 and safety upgrades on the A590 in South Cumbria.
To keep the travelling public and our staff safe while barrier work is underway, lane 3 will be closed on both carriageways of the M6. A 60mph speed restriction on this section of the M6 will also be in effect for the duration of the scheme. The eastbound carriageway between Low Levens and Brettargh Holt roundabout has been strengthened and resurfaced overnight, meaning closures have had to occur. From 8pm to 6am, A590 eastbound traffic has been diverted via the A6 to junction 35 of the M6.
