Lionel Messi welcomed to Miami by the likes of Tom Brady

Messi is set to make his eagerly-awaited debut against Mexican side Cruz Azul in the first round of the 2023 Leagues Cup on Friday. Tickets have reportedly been exchanging hands for a reported £84,000, as fans scramble to get their first sighting of Messi in an Inter Miami shirt. Messi will be joined at the club by former teammate Sergio Busquets in what amounts to an incredible double coup for Miami and MLS.
But both stars will need to instantly inject their magic into a flailing Inter Miami side who find themselves rock bottom of the Eastern Conference with just 18 points from 22 games this season.
