Taking shape 😍
Finishing touches are being made to a huge multi-purpose complex on the edge of the Forest of Bowland.
The farm, which was formerly known as Be A Garden Maker has been transformed and will be reborn- as Bowland Forest Farm. While the garden centre origins will remains, extensive work is being carried out to incorporate a farm shop, lounge-bar and cafe while also converting a farmhouse and barn into a wedding venue.
The restaurant and bar area will feature an outdoor terrace and patio with the beautiful backdrop of the Bowland countryside, with the farm set close to the village of Wiggleswoerth, on the Lancashire-Yorkshire border. It is nestled in the enviable position between the Yorkshire Dales and Gisburn Forest.
Wedding guests will also soon be able to stay in lodges with hot tubs, which will also become holiday lets. Plans are also in place to install an interesting cruck-style tent to cater for 200 wedding guests. Phil Jackson, hospitality manager at the venue, says the aim is to source produce from local suppliers and to also promote the local area and businesses. The venue is set to open in July.
