EastEnders legend Nigel is unrecognisable 25 years after shock soap exit
Legendary EastEnders character Nigel Bates was always one of Albert Square's fan-favourite stars, particularly during the 90s when actor Paul Bradley first joined the show.
Paul first joined the Walford hit in 1992 and continued in the much-loved role until 1998, when his character was given a 'happy ending'. Nigel - who worked in the town's video shop - and Albert Square hardman Grant enjoyed a 'bromance' of sorts, and Dot thought of him as the good son she never had - though this meant meant her own child Nick Cotton hated him.
