Cristiano Ronaldo’s last stint at Old Trafford ended awkwardly, but one former Manchester United striker believes he'd be welcomed back by new manager Ruben Amorim
Cristiano Ronaldo would be welcomed back to Manchester United under new manager Ruben Amorim , insists Teddy Sheringham.
Now in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has since become the league's flagship player and already claimed a record-breaking Golden Boot, reports the Mirror. Despite the awkwardness surrounding his exit, former United striker Sheringham believes Ronaldo's Manchester chapter may not be closed just yet – and he could reunite with former team-mate Amorim in England.
Sheringham concedes that while the Portuguese icon would still be welcomed back at Old Trafford, particularly with Amorim set to arrive on November 11, it's more probable he'll conclude his playing days elsewhere. Ronaldo himself agreed with this on his YouTube channel, UR, that his post-playing focus will probably be on business pursuits rather than pursuing coaching qualifications.
