A Liverpool city centre restaurant has been named the best in the city at the British Restaurant Awards.
Earlier this year, 12 Merseyside venues were shortlisted for the prestigious awards and now the winners have been announced - and one Liverpool restaurant was among them. At this year's fourth annual British Restaurant Awards, Lerpwl on the Albert Dock was crowned the best restaurant in Liverpool. The British Restaurant Awards, an annual awards ceremony which allows customers to nominate and vote for their Best Restaurants in the UK. The awards ceremony was held on September 12 at Porchester Hall in London, and members of the Lerpwl team attended the event and collected the award on behalf of the restaurant.Located at the Britannia Pavilion on the Royal Albert Dock, Lerpwl sits nestled among a range of bars and restaurants.
Ellis Barrie, chef owner of Lerpwl, said: "We are really happy to have won this award, it means a lot to have been nominated and then voted winners by the public. I guess it's a bit of further reassurance that our guests like what we offer and that they enjoy the dining experience they have at Lerpwl. The team who attended the ceremony had a great night, it was good to see them representing Lerpwl down in London.
The British Restaurant Awards is an annual awards ceremony that provides an opportunity for customers to nominate and vote for the best restaurants, chefs, and culinary experiences in the UK. This year, 1.1 million votes were received from the public.
