The new season is set ten years after the end of the original series and has at least fourteen chapters planned. Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the series, which has gained over 273 million views and is easily one of the most highly read titles in the isekai genre on Webtoon. The webtoon's epilogue and side stories still have a lot to adapt, and fans are hoping that Season 2 will finally bring the series the anime adaptation it deserves.

The series has gained over 273 million views and is easily one of the most highly read titles in the isekai genre on Webtoon. After five long years and 222 chapters in all, The Greatest Estate Developer recently wrapped up, dropping its final chapter on Naver Webtoon on March 5, 2026, with the official English release following close behind on April 9.
Even with new ongoing releases from its creator, such as What A Bountiful Harvest, Demon Lord! and The Apothecary Prince, it's been hard to say goodbye to the beloved series. However, it seems like fans may not have to anymore, as The Greatest Estate Developer has just made its return.
The series has made a surprise return with Season 2, with BK Moon, the author of the original web novel that the webtoon is based on, teasing the series' return on his Facebook handle a day prior. The web novel released eleven new chapters on Naver on May 28, 2026, with a new cover illustration featuring Lloyd and Javier, albeit with their weapons of choice swapped.
The new season is reportedly set ten years after the end of the original series, and at least fourteen chapters have been planned. That said, it is unclear how long Season 2 will last and how many more chapters are on the way. It is also yet to be confirmed whether Season 2 of the web novel will be adapted into new chapters for the webtoon.
However, Kim Hyunsoo, the artist of The Greatest Estate Developer's webtoon, did hint at a comeback in a recent post on Instagram featuring a reference to the classic 'Just you wait' moment from Fullmetal Alchemist along with a caption which reads 'Just wait.
' The Greatest Estate Developer's webtoon needs an expansion, given the series' popularity and the vague yet reassuring post from the series artist. Even beyond Season 2 of the web novel, the webtoon still has a lot to adapt. The webtoon's epilogue and side stories, satisfying as they may have been, still did not touch on a lot of characters and their whereabouts.
Most importantly, the webtoon left out a key part of Lloyd and Alicia's ending, which was only briefly teased in the afterword from the series' creators. As such, Season 2 of the webtoon has room to flesh out many aspects of the story beyond just adapting the new season. This new season is sure to be a massive success, and hopefully, this success is enough to finally land The Greatest Estate Developer an anime adaptation.
It's frankly a mystery how The Greatest Estate Developer hasn't been picked up for an anime yet, especially since the next most popular isekai series after it, Hardcore Leveling Warrior, already has an anime in the works, and by Warner Bros. Animation, no less. But, hopefully, with webtoon anime adaptations popping up left and right, it won't be too long till The Greatest Estate Developer also lands its big anime break
