The trailer, which debuted on Sunday out of Brazil Comic-Con as part of a live-stream chat with Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot, showcases Diana's interactions with Dr. Barbara Minerva, aka Cheetah , as well as her reunion with Steve Trevor .
"My life hasn't been what you probably think it has. We all have our struggles," Diana says in the trailer. "A long, long time ago," Diana replies, reminiscing about her time with Steve."You?"The trailer then centers on Diana's emotional reunion with Steve, Maxwell Lord's seemingly shady business and, of course, Wonder Woman being the bullet-deflecting, lasso-ing, fierce warrior she is.
Gadot opened up about what fans can expect from the movie during Warner Bros.' Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con in July. "It's not a sequel. It's its own story. It's a whole new movie," she said. "The bar is very, very high, but our aspirations are even higher," the actress added."We just give it everything that we have, really hoping that what we bring, you guys will love."
"I never want to do more of anything for the wrong reason," Jenkins agreed."To me, it's an interesting experience to all be together again, making it, but it's not more of anything, even though it is evocative of all those things that happened last time.
