Though Phang had initially promised the victim to spend time with her in-person, she never fulfilled any of those promises and would give various excuses not to meet her. Phang caused the victim to incur a total monetary loss of at least $4,705.64. The victim initially paid for the purchases with her own money, but later had to get money from her sister and father.
