A man involved in a false article claiming a miscarriage happened at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital due to its mismanagement will face defamation, the Singapore Police Force said.

KKH filed a police report on 25 March 2022 about the article “The baby is probably dead - Woman shares a harrowing account of her miscarriage at KKH A&E”, published on Wake Up, Singapore’s website, and social media accounts.The article claimed that on 28 February 2022, the hospital reportedly failed to attend to a female patient who had been waiting for four hours for her COVID-19 treatment and abdominal pains, leading to a miscarriage.
