Singapore — A massive fire broke out near a carpark at East Coast Park on Wednesday night , its billowing smoke spotted from nearby estates.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force confirmed they were alerted to the fire at 1110 East Coast Parkway at about 9:30 pm on Wednesday.One footage showed a pillar of black smoke in contrast to the night sky.Reports noted that the fire involved the contents of a shed.SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire.that he saw the blaze from his 18-floor apartment balcony.
“Our apartment has a view of East Coast Park, so during our usual evening breather at the balcony, we saw a huge line of smoke coming from the direction of the park,” he said.A total of 11 emergency vehicles and about 35 firefighters were deployed to the scene, said SCDF in aAt the height of the operations, five water jets, including an Unmanned Firefighting Machine, were used to bring the fire under control.
