ANCHORAGE, Alaska: China's actions"threaten the rules-based order that maintains global stability," US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Thursday at the opening of a two-day meeting with Chinese counterparts in Alaska.

"And we will always stand up for our principles for our people, and for our friends," Sullivan warned. Washington says the Asia tour before the meeting with Chinese officials, as well as outreach to Europe, India and other partners, shows how the United States has strengthened its hand to confront China since President Joe Biden took office in January.

On the eve of the talks, the United States issued a flurry of actions directed at China, including a move to begin revoking Chinese telecoms licenses, subpoenas to multiple Chinese information technology companies over national security concerns, and updated sanctions on China over a rollback of democracy in Hong Kong.

China has indicated it is set to begin trials of two Canadians detained in December 2018 on spying charges soon after Canadian police detained Meng Wanzhou, the chief financial officer of telecoms equipment company Huawei Technologies on a US warrant.Beijing has called for a reset to ties, now at their lowest in decades.

Unlike how US actions stabilized libya right?

Yo doug, what happen to Mike Pompeo? China mostly afraid of him! Now they just send Kamala Harris or some gay democrat to deal with China shit.

The Chinese have a very low moral character, a country that puts its own interests first and pretends to be selfish.

USA ,Japan and another country , get rid of China

Absolutely agree

It is definitely true the other way around.

Just go to war and fight it out

Who sent forces invading Syria and occupying Iraq until today? Who is destabilising the world starting wars here and there? None other than the US.

Absolutely right,For example they support myanmar military coup

shiroihamusan The spread of Covid19 is a big proof!

US doesn’t qualified to comment on such matter anymore! Not even on global contexts.

One picture worths a thousand of words!

Regardless your political views, who’s a threat between US and China? Just look at the history of last 70 years, how many wars did US engaged in? How many countries have been at internal war because US’ instigation? US dropped 49 bombs daily since 2001 in Midland East

Excellent 👍

Too right.

Indeed. Chin missiles are pointing at Taiwan. Chin naval ships are trespassing Japanese waters. This muat stop.

It absolutely

shiroihamusan It is a great moment ti let global know more abt China: China “中國” = central of the world, it want everyone follow its rule/logic. talking will not change it, sanction will not change it.

Put down CCP

A country with a lot of oversea military bases and war history accusing another country that hasn't been engaged in any war for 50 yrs... wtf💁🏼‍♂️ who was the one invaded another country by using a bag of washing powder?

US actions ‘threaten’ global stability is the truth

shiroihamusan CCPChina actions 'threaten' the world!!

Us only know how to fart and fart loudly🙄

shiroihamusan Agreed.

CCP has stated clear that it wants the world to follow its standard

US is always accusing others when they themselves are doing it.

Totally agreed. Only looking for own goods & benefits despite how much suffering others.

Not only threaten but the communist China already give global stagily a hard blow, by launching a biochemical war to the whole world and making huge profit from the pandemic.

Common sense

We all get China must pursue the interests of their people. The dispute (I think) is the rest of us disagree it is done at any cost. e.g. allowing mis-management of local fisheries forcing their fisherman into intra-national fisheries. Start investing in India and Africa. xo

US takes action when it threatens to their stability. But China takes action to create unstability for their gain.

Absolutely.

then what is happening in iraq, syria?

At least, you must know China have well prepared for a war

Don’t hold punches when it comes to criminal CCP China. You blink you lose.

What happened to Iraq, Afghan, Libya, Syria .....

Japan feels diplomatic squeeze as US-China tensions riseChina and Japan have decades of experience in managing their regular diplomatic crises, but escalating tensions over Taiwan and territorial disputes in the East China Sea are creating a new test for Asia’s most powerful giants. Last month’s agreement between US and Japanese defence ministers to single out China as a common threat – and the earlier face-off in Alaska between senior Chinese and US diplomats – indicated rising US-China tensions were pushing Japan to side with the US because of its geographic importance in the region, experts said. US, Japan agree to work together in event of Beijing-Taiwan military clash, sources say “It’s an unusual move for Japan to join with the US to single out China as a common threat in their ‘two-plus-two’ dialogues,” said Andrei Chang, editor-in-chief of the Canada-based Kanwa Defence Review.Do you have questions about the biggest topics and trends from around the world? Japan had long refrained from commenting on Taiwan – which Beijing sees as a breakaway province to be returned to the mainland, by force if necessary – instead encouraging “dialogue for a peaceful solution to cross-strait tensions”, Chang said, because of the consequences of offending a rising China. But, in a joint statement on March 17, Japanese and US defence chiefs said they had agreed to closely cooperate in the event of a military conflict in the Taiwan Strait. The Kyodo news agency reported that Tokyo had been reviewing the feasibility of issuing a Self-Defence Force (SDF) dispatch order to protect US military ships and planes in the event of a crisis between mainland China and Taiwan, given the strait’s geographical proximity and the possibility that an armed conflict there would affect the safety of Japanese citizens. The statement made Japan the first member of the US-led Quadrilateral Secu
