NEW YORK - A Virginia bishop who defied warnings about the danger of religious gatherings during the pandemic and vowed to keep preaching"unless I'm in jail or the hospital" died over the weekend after contracting Covid-19, his church said.
"The first thing I asked God is, 'Why?'"Mr Nevers said."The bishop has touched our lives in so many ways." The church's members held vigil and some fasted for Bishop Glenn, whose death was widely mourned, including by Senator Tim Kaine, D-Va. Some church leaders have notably defied pleas from governors and public health officials to shutter houses of worship. In Florida, the pastor of a Pentecostal megachurch was arrested last month after holding services with hundreds of worshippers.
ablawso 'Deliverance' is a bad name for anything in the south
Fools aplenty in the religious world. Not a single religion in the can cure people of deadly diseases. Yet millions still believe in the Superman in the sky 😂.
Reap what you sow!
Real stubborn guy.
Saw the shocking CNN clip where a reporter asked a parishioner why she came for service in a packed church. Answer : I got Jesus blood on me. If you wanna see Jesus fast, better ask your baby, parents, neighbours and colleagues whether they wanna come along too... Dun be daft!
And thus says the Lord, “Ive given thou a chance to social distance but thou chose to defy My Will to put My people at risk..”
Stubbornness that killed him not otherwise!
Excellent.
