Cohen testified that the payment he made to Daniels, which was ruled an illegal use of campaign funds, was ordered and reimbursed by Trump himself - a possible criminal act. TRUMP FOUNDATION The Trump Foundation, the former charitable arm of the Trump Organisation, is the target of a lawsuit brought by the New York state attorney-general.

The suit seeks US$2.8 million in restitution and to bar Trump, Don Jr, Eric and Ivanka from serving on the boards of other New York non-profits.
