TOKYO : Toshiba Corp will appoint a governance enhancement committee to analyse the root cause of alleged collusion by management and the Japanese government to pressure investors, it said on Friday.
The company said the committee"is not intended to re-investigate" a shareholder-commissioned investigation's findings that Toshiba sought to block shareholders from gaining influence at last year's annual general meeting. The new committee will consist of five legal experts and is expected to submit a final report in October.
