UPDATE: U2 announce 2nd Singapore gig on 1 Dec.

UPDATE #2: Due to overwhelming demand, U2 have announced a second show on 1 December at the National Stadium. Fan pre-sale will begin Friday at 1pm Singapore time until Sunday 6pm, with a limit of four tickets per transaction. General ticket sales begins on 24 June at 10am, with a limit of eight tickets per transaction on www.sportshubtix.sg.

The Irish rock band, which rocketed into global popularity in the 1980s and are still going strong with sell-out tours worldwide, will perform in Singapore for the first time in their 40-odd-year career. The tour is likely to be similar to U2’s tour of Europe and the Americas in 2017, when they celebrated the 30th anniversary of their biggest-selling record, The Joshua Tree, by playing the entire album in concert.
