This year was to have been Mr Yeoh's last one-year term as president. But further checks by a member and the club's general committee showed that he did not graduate from the University of Melbourne.
Mr Chong was part of the club's general committee, serving as its Convenor for Membership and Rules and Co-Convenor for Sports, before he became president.
