Southampton duo Danny Ings and Theo Walcott are in contention to face Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday but the club will make a late call on captain James Ward-Prowse who was injured on international duty, manager Ralph Hasenhuettl said on Friday.
Ings, Saints' top scorer this season with eight league goals, missed the last three games with a muscle injury while Walcott has not featured since late January due to a tendon injury."These guys are training now with the team for more than one week. They are on a good way back, we can feel that there are more and more players coming back, so this is good news," Hasenhuettl told reporters.
However, Ward-Prowse did not train after picking up a calf injury which prevented him from playing in England's 2-1 victory over Poland in Wednesday's World Cup qualifier.
