The 42-year-old, who had not driven to Malaysia for more than two years, thought that the customs clearance procedures there had changed as the counter was empty. "When [my husband and I] entered the office, a 30-plus-year-old officer told us that we had committed a serious offence. He took our passports and told us to wait outside."
