JUST IN: Number of discharged COVID-19 patients in Singapore hits new daily high of 626; seven new clusters reported

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported 884 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday , taking the country's total to 24,671.

MOH added that it had started "intensive testing" at purpose-built dormitories, and is now doing so for the factory-converted dormitories.AdvertisementMOH said the number of new cases in the community has decreased, from an average of eight cases per day in the week before, to an average of seven per day in the past week.

Case 24255 is a 55-year-old Singaporean woman who has no recent travel history to affected countries or regions. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on May 11 and is currently warded at Changi General Hospital . There are currently 1,132 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving while 20 are in a critical condition in the intensive care unit.

He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection the next day. MOH said the cause of death was cerebral haemorrhage. Seven new clusters were reported: 45 Kian Teck Drive, 3 Loyang Way 6, 36 Senoko Road, 7 Senoko South Road, 3 Sungei Kadut Avenue, 46 Tech Park Crescent, 5 Woodlands Industrial Park E1.
