Singapore, Germany establish reciprocal green lane travel arrangement via yahoosg

SINGAPORE — Residents in Singapore and Germany will soon be able to travel between the two countries for business or official purposes, after the two countries agreed on a Reciprocal Green Lane arrangement .

The ministries of foreign affairs in both countries said in a joint media release on Friday that this travel arrangement will enable essential travel for business or official purposes via direct flights between Germany and Singapore. “Both countries agreed that the RGL could serve as a model for future similar arrangements between Singapore and other European countries.”

As of Friday, Germany had reported a total of 403,291 COVID-19 cases, with 9,954 deaths. Singapore has a total of 57,941 COVID-19 cases, with 28 fatalities, as of Thursday.
