SINGAPORE — The Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Saturday (May 15) that fewer than 10 imported Covid-19 cases over the last 28 days were short term visitors from South Asia, adding that all short term visitors are allowed entry into Singapore “only if they have family ties here” or on special compassionate grounds.

Whether they are short term or long term visitors from high risk nations should be banned from entering. We have ensured tight security to keep our people safe.

The numbers presented suggest a near equal distribution of infected cases between citizens & perm residents, and others. This means our healthcare staff is horrifically overworked given we also have 13 local clusters. May be let's consider closing arrivals to anyone who is not..
