A woman was left injured after she was allegedly assaulted by a group of teenagers with a metal rod in Sengkang.

Ms Chen said the incident occurred while she was on her way to work near Block 400C Fernvale Lane on March 22, at around 5.30am.

On the day of the incident, she had been walking by the roadside due to construction works being carried out on the pavement. According to Ms Chen, the group looked to be in their teens. They were small in build, wearing t-shirts and squeezed on the PMD. As it was dark, she was unable to determine whether there were three or four people."However, they followed me. One person hit my left buttock with a 20cm to 30cm object resembling a metal rod.The teens laughed loudly after the attack and remained arrogant even when she threatened to call the police, said Ms Chen.
